I am an accomplished school psychologist, researcher, and educator with over a decade of experience at the intersection of education, mental health, and social equity. Currently, I serve as a Senior Research Associate at Ujima, Inc.: The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community, where I lead research design, data collection, and analysis to inform grant development and national statistics addressing violence against Black women.
I am also a Full-Time Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Southern University and A&M College–Baton Rouge, where I bring over five years of instructional experience, blending culturally responsive pedagogy with research-based practices. As a Part-Time Adjunct Professor at Howard University School of Education, I recently served as the Interim Program Coordinator for the School Psychology Ph.D. Program, providing administrative leadership and academic oversight for graduate-level operations.
In addition to my academic and research roles, I am the Founder and CEO of Wells Consulting Services, LLC, where I support school districts and families in navigating the special education process, developing sustainable educational interventions, and improving academic outcomes for diverse learners. My work is rooted in a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), having earned my BCBA® credential through Clemson University’s Center for Behavior Analysis.
I also bring extensive experience in grant administration, serving as a Grants Coordinator for DCPS & the DC Ed Fund, where I ensure compliance with post-award grant policies, procedures, and fiscal management.
I hold certifications from Cornell University in Women Entrepreneurship and Quality Matters in Online Course Design, and my career reflects a deep commitment to advancing inclusive practices, empowering communities, and bridging gaps in access to quality education and mental health services.
